Traffic Arm Damaged at Grand Caillou Rd and Tunnel Blvd Intersection
On November 10, 2023, at approximately 9 PM, a vehicle hit a traffic arm on the intersection of Grand Caillou Rd and Tunnel Blvd. DOTD has been notified of the incident and is in the process of placing temporary poles, support wires, and traffic lights. The temporary structures should be in place by Sunday evening, November 12, 2023.
HPD will provide traffic control until temporary structures are complete. Once the temporary structures are complete, LA DOTD will begin work to repair the damaged concrete foundation and reinstall a permanent traffic arm.
Residents are urged to be cautious at this intersection until structures are replaced.
