DOTD to Host Public Meeting Aug. 18 on Proposed Addition of Medians & Turns on MLK
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) is conducting an open house public meeting for the proposed additions of center medians, U-turns, and J-turns along LA 3040 in Houma, Louisiana.
The meeting's purpose is to provide information about the project and obtain input from interested parties. During the meeting, a continuous multimedia presentation about U-turn and J-turn maneuvers will be available, and additional project information will be available.
Representatives from LADOTD will be available at the open house to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project. Verbal and written comments on the project can be submitted at the meeting. Comments can be mailed to the LADOTD address below and postmarked by September 18, 2026. The public meeting has been scheduled as follows:
