Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government Department of Housing and Human Services Community Development Division Handicap Accessibility Grant Program Eligibility Requirements Need The applicant must have a documented need for the accessibility items being requested. Income The applicant must meet Low Income Limits established by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development for Terrebonne Parish. In the event that a waiting list is created, preference will be given to applicants that meet Very Low Income Limits established by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development for Terrebonne Parish. Property Owner-occupied single-family detached units within the boundaries of Terrebonne Parish elevated no higher than 2 feet are eligible for assistance, provided that there is enough yard area to allow for an ADA compliant ramp. The home must be the applicant’s principal residence. Applicants must provide evidence of at least 50% ownership of the home and property.
