St. Ann Bridge to Close to Vehicular Traffic Beginning June 18, 2012
Terrebonne Parish President Michel Claudet would like to announce that the St. Ann Bridge in Bourg will be closed to vehicular traffic starting on June 18, 2012.
This closure is the result of the current St. Ann Bridge being demolished and a new bridge being constructed at the bridge’s current location connecting Country Drive and LA Highway 24 over Bayou Terrebonne. The current 14 feet wide one lane swing span bridge is being replaced with a 33 feet wide two lane steel swing span bridge.
Residents who frequent the current St. Ann Bridge are asked to seek an alternative route as construction is estimated to take approximately 12 months.
