Public Workshop Scheduled for Terrebonne Community Park (Field of Dreams) Master Plan Public Presentation Houma, La-In October of 2012, Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government held a public workshop to seek the input from residents and users on the type of recreation needs and desires both parishwide and for the proposed Terrebonne Community Park (Field of Dreams). The design team for the park has incorporated those comments and suggestions into a master plan that will be presented to the public. This meeting will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 in the 2nd Floor Council Hearing Room of the Govt Tower (8026 Main Street). The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. The public presentation will be facilitated by the project landscape architects at Joseph Furr Design Studios. Parish Planning Staff and Recreation District 2-3 will also be on hand to answer questions. This park is just one-step in the long-term strategic recreation planning efforts for Terrebonne Parish. As identified in the recently adopted Comprehensive Master Plan Update, the Parish is committed to improving recreational opportunities throughout the region.
