Last Stand Announced
Managing Director of the American's Wetland Foundation, Val Marmillion, announced the "Last Stand" event to be held at the Houma Downtown Marina on May 31st.
The event will bring attention to the beginning of hurricane season and awareness of the loss of wetlands in our area. State senators, legislators and Parish Officials attending the press conference held at the Houma Waterlife Museum, downtown Houma.
Terrebonne Parish President, Michel Claudet stated:" The citizens of Terrebonne Parish are certainly aware of the serious conditions created by hurricanes and severe storms. We are ready to make the "last stand" and will do our part to make this a successful event. Our citizens know how to "pass a good time" as well."
