African American Museum to Host Arts and Crafts Festival Sat., Nov 4, 2017

The Finding Our Roots African American Museum's First Annual Fall Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at the museum, 918 Roussel St., in Houma. 

The festival will feature artists Earl Theriot, Jessica Keys, and Christina Brown. The festival will also feature poetry by Altina Sims, African drum player Mr. Bain, and African jewelry. 

Food items include fried fish poboys, jambalaya, gumbo, fried chicken, chili cheese fries, fruit bowls, sweet potato pies, pecan candy, and much more.
