Parade of Rods Car Show April 6-8
From April 6th through April 8th, the Mardi Gras Street Rods Club will hold its 20th Annual Parade of Rods car show at the Ramada Inn on 1400 Tunnel Boulevard in Houma. The show is open to all pre-1973 rods, customs, muscle cars, rat rods, etc. Awards given include the all-new Top 16 Awards, Specialty Awards, Distance Awards, and a grand prize of $500. Attendees can also enter a raffle for additional prizes including a flat-screen TV.
On-site registration at the Ramada begins Friday at 2 pm. A welcome party will be held at 6 pm that evening, which includes a free meal of fried fish, white beans, and more for all registered participants. Attending the welcome party is not required to participate in the car show.
Saturday is the car show. Registration ends at noon. Judging begins at noon after registration closes. Live music, games, and the silent auction will be held throughout the day.
Sunday's activities include church service at 8:30 am followed by awards at 9 am. Participants must be present with their registered cars Sunday morning to qualify for the $500 grand prize. Event activities will end at 11:00 am.
