Tunnel to Close from 7 p.m. to Midnight March 24, 2018
The Houma Tunnel crossing the Intracoastal Canal Waterway (ICWW) on La. 3040 will be closed to vehicular traffic from 7 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, March 24, 2018.
This closure is needed in order to allow Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) electrical maintenance personnel to perform repair and/or maintenance work on the tunnel’s lighting system.
Alternate routes available for crossing the ICWW are:
- LA 24/LA 659 (Twin Span Bridge).
- LA 315 (Dularge Bridge).
