The Department of Communications provides leadership, expertise, and innovative communication solutions to promote services, initiatives, businesses, and growth in Terrebonne Parish.

The Chief Communications Officer also serves as the Custodian of Public Records, providing any person or organization reasonable access to the public records of Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government, upon written request, during normal business hours and within the requirements of the law.

Our public relations/marketing team of public information officers, technical writers, videographers, graphic designers, and social media experts work together to create effective communication strategies that meet the needs of our community.

Our SharePoint team is responsible for managing and maintaining the Parish's SharePoint platform, ensuring that it is user-friendly and meets the needs of our employees. We provide training and support to employees to help them effectively use SharePoint for collaboration and communication.

Our GIS technology team is responsible for managing and maintaining the Parish's geographic information system, ensuring that it is accurate and up-to-date. We provide mapping and analysis services to support decision-making and planning efforts.

Our information technology team is responsible for managing and maintaining the Parish's IT infrastructure, ensuring that it is secure and reliable. We provide technical support to employees and work to implement new technologies that improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Our software development team is responsible for developing and maintaining all department-specific websites as well as custom software applications written on legacy and web platforms that meet the needs of the Parish government. We work closely with other departments to identify software needs and develop solutions that improve service delivery.
