Locations and Application Process

The Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government's Head Start Program is accepting applications for children ages 3 to 5 years from low income families for the current school session. Parents of children with severe disabilities are encouraged to apply. Visit any of these locations to apply.

To be eligible for the current school session, children must be 3 years old by September 30th of that year.

Classroom hours of operation for all Head Start centers are 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM

How to Apply

To apply, please bring the following documentation with you.

  • Proof of income (2 check stubs, current food stamp printout, previous year tax return, child support order, SSI award letters, unemployment compensation printout)
  • Child's birth certificate
  • Child's updated immunization record
  • Child's social security card
  • Parent's driver's license/I.D. and social security card
  • Child's Medicaid card or insurance card
  • Court order of guardianship of child, if applicable
  • Proof of residency (i.e., utility bill, lease agreement)
  • Child's evaluation or I.E.P. (if applicable)
